This editorial prototype brings the impact of a print magazine's cover story to the digital screen. Just as a magazine's leading cover story is custom designed with some TLC, this design brings that same refreshing concept to the omnipresent CMS standard on most online publishing sites.
Typography plays a strong role in the design of this cover feature. The majority of the type is web friendly, and additional type is incorporated within the more complex images. This project demonstrates a highly creative use of web typography, even for speciality fonts such as those in the cover's main title and the Lifestyle Mirror logo.
This website layout balances both the needs of easy-to-read editorial and easy-to-shop content. The easy-to-read editorial keeps readers engaged throughout the story while the easy-to-shop aspects encourage purchase conversions.
Hannah Bronfman's feature editorial on Lifesytle Mirror is a multi-section digital product. The home page leads to three different editorial pieces: the interview, the beauty editorial and the recipe editorial. Each editorial story includes links that lead to partner brands' e-commerce websites.
